Things kids say!

Here lately my kids have been full of it, and the things that have come out of their mouths have made me laugh so I am sharing them. Sorry about my ramblings but, it always amazes me what kids say!

Jeff as started bringing in dirt to build up the ground so he can pour concrete and start construction on his new garage. Cooper and Dalton Decided to help him move the dirt. Cooper asked Jeff what the dirt was for and he told him he was going to build a shop there. Cooper got so excited and asked if it was going to be a tire shop. After Jeff stopped laughing he explained, that it was going to be a place were they could work on cars and build things. Cooper excepted his answer and started to move the dirt. After a few minutes he began telling Dalton the dirt was going to be be the foundation for dad's shop. He said that the foundation is very important and it has to be flat and level. After I picked up my jaw from the ground I asked him were he learned all that from he looked at me and said, "Duh, Bob the Builder." Sure that is so obvious what was I thinking.

Kaylee loves watching iCarley so lately she tends to talk like the girls on the show. Well last week her dance group performed at Emerald Point (an assisted living center). I got her ready and took her to the rest home. Her teacher Miss Jenny just got the girls warmed up and then asked them if they were ready? Kaylee's response was "we are so going to rock this for the old people." Yah!

I don't know how many of you are familar with the t.v. show Phines and Ferb but my kids love it. We recently spent the weekend with my sister Jill and took the kids to the Hogle Zoo. I don't know if you have ever noticed the sidewalks there have fossil impressions on them. So as we are walk through the zoo we were forced to listen to the Cooper and Garrett going, "fossils dun dun dun." I would to thank the Disney channel, it was a long day!

My Mother gave the kids an easter bunny, that bounces and sings her comes Peter Cottontail. It was very cute at first now I think the kids are intentionally trying to drive me crazy with it. However Dalton loves to turn it on and sing Jingle Bells and that makes me laugh.

My baby is 2!

Dalton turned two on Saturday and we celebrated by having a little birthday with our family. We played a few games, had cake and ice cream and then opened presents. It was fun and Dalton had a good time and was a good sport. Dalton loves dogs so Kaylee and Cooper gave him a fur real puppy, which he loves. We get to listen to it bark when he rolls over in the middle of the night (yah). Dalton and My dad are best buddies and they also share the same birthday, my dad still says that Dalton is the best birthday present ever.

I'm struggling to figure out how my baby has grown so fast so quickly. I swear I just came home from the hospital with him. As sad as I am that he is growing up am just as grateful that he is here and he is healthy. After the scary five days we spent at the hospital after his birth, dealing with his unknown condition I just wasn't sure at that time this day would ever come. I am grateful for every day I have with him even if it means I have to wash lotion off the bathroom cabinets or if I have to change his Sunday clothes again before church because he has covered himself with toothpaste. I have decided he is here to help make sure my life is never dull.

Dalton is a sweet boy with a good heart. He is caring, tender hearted and loves to laugh. However, Dalton is also stubborn, bull headed and refused to back down from a fight even if he knows he will be in trouble. As good as Dalton is he is equally just as bad. If it gets quite and you can't see him you will definetly have a huge mess on your hands. Whats worse is he smiles at you with this face that makes it so hard to get mad at (he gets it from his dad). Despite all trouble he may get into I wouldn't change him for the world. I enjoy him more everyday. I feel he has been a huge blessing to our family and I am truely honored to be his mom. I love you D!

Oh Dalton!

Dalton has always been a little challenging at times but, here recently he has become even more of a challenge. His new thing is to go in the bathroom and get into everything. His favorite thing to play in is the drawers, on this perticular afternoon I had the pleasure of him painting his face with a new tube of mascara (which he of course reuined). Then he climbed on the toliet and reached up on my perfume shelf and grabbed a bottle of nail polish and then poured it all over the sink. I'm guessing he didn't like that color. I was just grateful that he only spilled it on the sink and fortunatly for me he didn't break a bottle of perfume I don't think I needed the smell on top of the mess. I am sure you are asking yourself were I was when he was doing this? I of course was making dinner, dumb me!
